My husband doesn’t think this Christmas is a very big deal because our son won’t remember it. I, on the other hand, am VERY excited about his first Christmas. I want it to be special, not only in the gifts he gets but perfect in every way. My hubby has complained about every single dollar that I have spent on Christmas presents for the baby, which hasn’t been much at all. What did you get your baby for his first Christmas?

I am in the same situation. My husband wanted to get our 8 month old ONE present. I bought him like 6 presents, and my husband was kinda mad at first, but he got over it. At this age, there are so many cheap toys you can buy.
Just explain to your hubby that it means a lot to you to give your baby a wonderful first Christmas. Say, ” He may not remember it, but I will.”

just because he won’t remember it, doesn’t mean that you won’t! get him stuff and have fun with it! maybe get him something he can keep forever.

I didn’t want to get him anything–he’s not going to remember a thing. I eventually gave in and let his older brother pick out a small stuffed animal. It was more for his older brother to feel like he got something for the baby than for the baby’s enjoyment.
The baby would rather eat the wrapping paper and play with my kitchen utensils.
