wel to answer your first question, a long time. growing a tree is going to take longer than a month. you could look in the phone book for somewhere to buy a real tree or you can buy a fake one and reuse it, thats what we do. and the average size of a christmas tree i think is about 6ft-6’3″. and im not compleetly sure but im 75% sure that the pine tree is used for x-mas trees, hope this helped you. [= (you can allways google it)
With how long it takes, it depends on the type of tree you want to use, the growing season where you are, the type of care you give it, etc. there are several different varieties of trees that are used for christmas trees. Fir, pine, and poplar (I think) are the basic version. Average size depends on a lot, but 5-6 foot is about the norm, but recently, 3-4 seem to have become very popular.

I planted one in 1992 and it’s now about 5’6″. You really have to hope this was a slow growing one.
