I have a great recipe for you instead of your regular Christmas Ham. Seafood, Chicken and Sausage Gumbo. Serve it as a soup before dinner or as the main cour…
@kenyaette OMG YES! You got the point. That’s what I’ve been saying all
along. Gumbo can be made thousands of different ways. It just depends on
where you’re from and you’re own taste. There’s no one way to make a dish.
There are so many variations and there’s plenty of room for all of them :)?
Hey Carolyn 🙂 i recently moved out in my own apartment and now i am
inviting my cousin,, who is like a sister to me, over for dinner! We will
cook Gumbo together and i will use your video as a reference. just wanted
to say that i really love your videos and thank you for explaining
everything so good even a german girl like me can understand 🙂
Greetings from germany and keep up the great work
I love this recipe. I did my frist Gumbo a while ago and tried again with
another recipe with different but somewhat similar ingredients. Anyways,
this one also has a different twist with the crab being in there. Thanks
for the recipe.?
I just discovered your show and this looks pretty fantastic. I’m not from
the US so I learned about Gumbo just recently. I must say I didn’t think
those 10 minutes were already over! I enjoyed watching it and at the end I
thought, what, is it over already? Haha, looking forward to watch more from
you! ?
Carolyn I so agree… I think every family has their own way they mix
it…, lol. I was taught to boil my chicken for the broth…. We also make
the roux in cast iron and add it to the broth…. Thank for sharing!!;;?
I’m from Southeast Texas, about 45 minutes from Louisiana. I like my gumbo
spicy, so my dad and I like to use Party Time Zummo sausages. It taste
really great!! Plus after serving it we put hot sauce, and slap ya mama
seasoning for those who like it really spicy. I wonder if I’m the only one
who likes these particular items?? lol?
I just shared this recipe with my mom, she really likes it and always
wanted to give it a try, I’m sure it will turn out great! Thanks, Merry
Christmas.?

You’ve got the recipe, but you’ve also manage to capture the soul of a good
gumbo, and that is really what it’s all about.?
