I can’t afford to get not one gift for my girls this Christmas due to my separation from my husband, and I lost my job due to domestic violence. Do you know of a foundation or organization that can help me get a least one gift for them. They are 14 and 12 years old. Thank you. God Bless. Happy Holidays.

Check with the Salvation Army and Society of St. Vincent de Paul. They can often help, and if not, may be able to tell you where else to check.

Go to the local United Way. They will also help you find a place to get non-perishable items you will need.

Most churches contribute gifts to the children of the needy. Our church collects gifts for “Head Start”. I saw a barrel in one of our department stores for collecting gifts. What about the Salvation Army? Different communities have their own special drives to acquire gifts for the poor. – Call your Chamber of Commerce; they may know which orginazations could be of assistance. Merry Christmas and Good Luck, God Bless.

Do you have a shop with a cop program in your area? Is there a Two Rivers Head Start? You can go to the school and ask for some agencies they use. The county health department might have a few places. The Mothers Club in your area. Is there a counseling place you go to for the domestic violence? The womens shelter in your area. The place you go to for the food pantry.
